Long time no post

I can't believe I've let this languish for so long. The peddler's mall booth is closed and the tutoring is going great. I still need to go through all the stuff I had to bring home and get a lot of it set up to sell in bulk. I was hoping to sell everything as a ready made business but no luck. I found Craigslist a little too late.

Too much to do and not enough hours (or at least pain free hours) and my back's really been giving me fits since the move. Gee, I wonder why .^_^.

Well, this was on my list to "unlanguish" and I've done a bit of that now so I think I'll get on with more updating.

YAY!!!! Working

Tutor.com doing algebra and will be adding geometry, trig, and maybe physics and chem down the line. I've cut the peddler's mall back to 2 days a week, and am looking to sell the booth before it gets cold this fall.

New website up

I just got the domain EasyMakeIt.com to put up lessons on how to make things (primarily jewelry for now). I also got content up on all of the other sites and I'm dead beat from staring at this screen for the last two days. I've finally got enough to ask people to take a look at things and start giving me some feedback on it. So, if you got here from my eMail, thanks friend and hope to hear more from you soon.

Ruminations and decisions

Getting myself back into the possibilities on internet income had me running through many of the "marketing guru" offerings about how to sell on the internet. I keep finding them very distasteful. It started making me question whether on not I wanted to pursue this. Then a light bulb - the gurus are selling to people who want to make money by selling to people who want to make money by selling ... well that's the pattern. I started looking closely at the testimonials. They are almost all from people who also were trying to make money selling to people who want .... and so on ad nauseum.

That's just not me, as anyone who knows me knows. Yes, I'm interested in ideas and teaching and product sales, but not in hucksterism. Yes, I want people to listen to me and buy from me, but not from shyster style mind games. Yes, I'm looking at the internet to make money, but on my terms and for my reasons. The actions, the things I want to do and to make and to teach are the same regardless. The internet is simply a venue which can greatly increase the number of people that can be found who are interested in what I have to offer.

Tomorrow I can start fresh with a clearer conscious and a better vision of what and how I want to do. YAY!!!

Thunder Over Louisville night. Chilly and wet and no car so I didn't even try to go. I love seeing the air show as much as, if not more than, the fireworks. I guess NY quit trying to out do us on fireworks. They used to advertise it as the biggest so far in the year (NY's are on the 4th) but this year it was advertised as flat out the biggest in the country. Anyway, with low clouds and occasional sprinkle what I could hear of the air show wasn't much. Maybe next year.

It's hard to believe they've stretched the Derby festivities out for THREE weeks now. Two weeks was bad enough as carnival type preparation for a two minute horse race. Civic boosting and all that. My guess is that the only reason a lot of people know of Louisville at all is due to the race. I did hit a question in an old computer trivia game that asked where the Derby was held ... well of course I knew the answer to that one. WRONG!!! Actually they were the wrong one. The answer was given as Lexington, KY. LOL!

Good Grief. The clock has caught up with me again. How it got to be 1:30 (AM) I don't know. It's just a minute after 1:29 which is just a minute after 1:28 which is just a .... OK bed time.

NUTS!!!

I think I'm going crazy. Trying to get all 6 domains to work together (JewelryByD.com, DesireStudio.com, WireSculpturess.com, LadyOfLiberty.com and Diane1.net all under the ShopRG.com hosting account at GoDaddy) is making things worse. Don't get me wrong. I've got no problem with GoDaddy - my experiments just seem to have piled on top of each other until the whole structure's ready to topple. I've finally thrown myself on the mercy of support and hopefully they will know how to back me out of this mess.

Meanwhile, I've got nothing to do but blog or surf or... Hey, it's the internet and there's ALWAYS something to do. So, dear reader, it's off to see the world, or at least what of it is digitized.

Well, it's a start. This may be a bunch of ramblings or deep thoughts or somewhere in between. I do have a lens up with some of my poetry at Squidoo and another with some of my jewelry making lessons and still another with Libertarian Thoughts. I've got blogs on all these too. Blogs are thoughts and lenses are data, or at least that's how I have it planned. Now why I went and named the politics lems LibertarianTHOUGHTS doesn't quite fit, does it? Well, the blog for it is called Lady of Liberty.
